LEGO® Jaws 21350
LEGO® Jaws 21350
Relive one of cinema’s most suspenseful showdowns with the Orca, a massive great white shark and the three men determined to hunt it — an impressive LEGO® Ideas display set inspired by Steven Spielberg’s legendary 1975 film Jaws.
LEGO® Jaws 21350 transforms one of the most recognizable thrillers in movie history into a substantial 1,503-piece build-and-display model, recreating the final hunt aboard the Orca as Chief Brody, Matt Hooper and Sam Quint face the enormous shark beneath them.
At the centre of the set is the Orca, the famous shark-hunting boat that carries the three men away from Amity Island and into an increasingly desperate battle at sea.
LEGO® has filled the vessel with details inspired directly by the movie.
The Orca features a detailed cabin with a removable roof, allowing the interior to remain visible after the build is complete, while an adjustable boom and rigging recreate the functional, weathered appearance of Quint’s working boat.
Around the deck are the tools of the hunt.
The set includes harpoons, a fishing rod, spear and the famous yellow barrels, recalling the equipment used by the crew as they try to track the shark beneath the water.
But the Orca is only half of the story.
Rising from the brick-built ocean is a large LEGO® great white shark, positioned as if it is attacking the boat at the height of the film’s confrontation.
And LEGO® gives collectors two very different ways to display it.
The shark can be positioned emerging from the seawater base beside the Orca, creating the full cinematic diorama, or it can be fully assembled and placed separately on its own dedicated display stand.
That flexibility makes 21350 more than a model with one fixed presentation.
Display the complete confrontation for maximum drama, or separate the shark and Orca to give each model its own space on the shelf.
The character selection is exactly what the scene needs.
The set includes 3 LEGO® minifigures: Chief Martin Brody, Matt Hooper and Sam Quint — the three central characters who set out aboard the Orca to hunt the shark terrorising Amity Island.
They are joined by a collection of movie-inspired accessories including a revolver, compass, fishing rod, harpoon, spear and camera, giving each character details connected to the voyage.
And there is one piece that almost every Jaws fan will recognize immediately.
Attached to the display base is a printed tile featuring Chief Brody’s famous line: “You’re gonna need a bigger boat.”
It is a small detail, but exactly the kind of detail that turns a good licensed model into something made specifically for fans of the film.
The Orca itself is a serious display piece.
The boat measures over 35 cm high, 59 cm long and 20 cm wide, giving the finished model enough scale for its rigging, cabin and deck equipment to feel substantial rather than compressed into a small vignette.
With the shark rising alongside it, the complete scene has the kind of presence that works particularly well in a movie collection, home office or dedicated LEGO® display.
And unlike a generic model of a fishing boat, every major element immediately points back to Jaws — the Orca, yellow barrels, three-man crew, attacking shark and famous movie quote all share the same display.
There is also genuine LEGO® Ideas history behind the set.
The original concept was created by LEGO fan Johnny “Jonny” Campbell, a lifelong Jaws fan who repeatedly rewatched and freeze-framed the film while designing his submission so he could capture the details of the Orca as accurately as possible. The project was ultimately selected through the LEGO Ideas platform and developed into an official set.
That fan-designed origin feels especially appropriate here.
Jaws 21350 does not feel like a loose interpretation of the movie — it feels like a model created by someone who wanted the Orca, its crew and the shark encounter to be instantly recognizable to another fan.
Originally released in August 2024, the set was created almost exactly half a century after Jaws first changed the summer movie landscape in 1975.
And there is now an important collecting detail.
LEGO® currently labels Jaws 21350 as “Retiring soon.”
That means this is approaching the end of its time in LEGO®’s regular range rather than being an indefinitely available movie set.
For collectors who have been considering it, that status matters: once a highly specific LEGO® Ideas licence leaves production, another future movie set would not necessarily recreate this same combination of the Orca, Brody, Hooper, Quint and the shark in one model.
And this is a particularly difficult scene to substitute.
A shark model alone is not Jaws.
A fishing boat alone is not Jaws.
It is the Orca, the three-man crew, the yellow barrels, the great white rising from the water and that famous line on the display base that make 21350 unmistakably Jaws.
