LEGO® Millennium Falcon Holiday Diorama 40658 transforms the interior of the legendary Millennium Falcon™ into a wonderfully festive scene inspired by The LEGO® Star Wars Holiday Special.
The 282-piece diorama recreates the Falcon’s lounge area and sleeping quarters, decorated for Christmas with a brick-built tree, colourful lights, mistletoe and a festive meal complete with turkey and carrot elements on the table.
And the characters make this set particularly special.
The scene includes 5 LEGO® Star Wars™ characters: Rey, Finn, Chewbacca, BB-8 and a Porg. Rey and Finn both appear wearing festive Christmas sweaters and carry lightsabers, giving two familiar Star Wars™ heroes a wonderfully unusual seasonal look.
Even better for collectors, the holiday-sweater versions of Rey and Finn were created specifically for this set and do not appear in any other LEGO® set.
Small details continue throughout the build, including Rey’s Jedi book, the Millennium Falcon’s familiar lounge area and plenty of Christmas decorations. The finished model measures approximately 8 cm high, 17 cm wide and 12 cm deep, making it an easy seasonal display for a desk, shelf or Christmas LEGO® collection.
But perhaps the most interesting part of 40658 is how briefly it was actually available.
LEGO® officially stated that the Millennium Falcon Holiday Diorama was only available to buy from 1 October to 31 December 2023 — a production and sales window of just three months. It is now officially listed as a retired product.
That makes this much more interesting than an ordinary Christmas LEGO® set. It was a genuine limited-season Star Wars™ release, complete with two exclusive festive minifigure variants that were never reused elsewhere.
For a Star Wars™ fan, it also makes an unusually charming Christmas gift. Instead of another spaceship or battle scene, you get Chewbacca, Rey, Finn, BB-8 and a Porg celebrating Christmas together inside the Millennium Falcon — something fun, instantly recognisable and just a little bit ridiculous in the best possible way.
