LEGO® Jay's Electro Mech 71740 brings classic NINJAGO® action into a compact 4+ battle set designed around Jay and his powerful blue Electro Mech.
The main build is Jay’s posable mech, equipped with movable arms and legs, a large sword and a spinning blade ready for close-range combat. Open the cockpit, place Jay inside and the lightning ninja is ready to take on the enemy.
But Jay does not get the battlefield to himself.
The set also includes the villain Eyezor, who comes with his own small vehicle featuring a rotating platform and stud shooter, giving kids an opponent to chase, attack and defeat instead of simply building the mech on its own.
There is even a brick-built spider and a golden-sword display, adding a few extra targets and story elements to the battle. The result is a surprisingly complete little NINJAGO® scene for a set with only 106 pieces.
The box includes 2 LEGO® NINJAGO® minifigures: Jay and Eyezor, characters connected to season 4 of the NINJAGO® TV series. That makes the set particularly appealing for fans of the older NINJAGO Legacy releases as well as younger builders meeting Jay for the first time.
Because Jay's Electro Mech belongs to the LEGO® 4+ range, it was designed to be approachable for younger builders. A Starter Brick gives children a partially constructed base so they can get through the build quickly and move on to the battle.
And although this is a relatively small set, the finished mech is not tiny.
Jay's Electro Mech stands over 17 cm tall, around 10 cm long and 16 cm wide, giving it enough presence to work as both a play model and a colourful little display piece when the fighting stops.
