LEGO® BTS Dynamite 21339 turns the bright, joyful atmosphere of BTS’ global hit “Dynamite” into a 749-piece build-and-display model, recreating several of the music video’s most memorable locations in LEGO® form.
And unlike a small tribute built around only one or two characters, this set brings together the complete seven-member BTS lineup.
The box includes minifigures of RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook, each supplied with a microphone so the entire group can be displayed together on stage.
That alone gives 21339 a very clear identity.
This is not simply a generic music set with a BTS logo attached — all seven members are represented as individual LEGO® minifigures, making the band itself the centre of the entire model.
Around them is a colourful recreation of the “Dynamite” music video.
The build includes the familiar donut shop, record store, disco and ice-cream van, together with palm trees, a basketball hoop and the colourful mural-inspired surroundings seen in the video.
The record shop contains some particularly nice fan details.
Inside are miniature brick-built BTS records, including a “Dynamite” vinyl reference, giving longtime fans something extra to discover beyond the larger exterior scenery.
The donut shop continues the video’s playful retro look with its large adjustable DONUT sign and donut accessory, while the ice-cream van brings another instantly recognizable backdrop from the music video into the display.
But perhaps the most memorable feature is the performance stage.
Place all seven BTS minifigures onto the detachable stage and turn the wheel to make them move together, recreating the synchronized choreography that became such a central part of the “Dynamite” video.
That gives the set something many licensed display models do not have.
The band does not simply stand motionless in front of the scenery — the display itself includes a mechanical feature designed around BTS performing together.
The different buildings are also detachable, allowing the donut shop, record store and other sections to be separated and rearranged rather than forcing the entire model into one permanent layout.
For display collectors, that flexibility is especially useful.
The full model can be shown as one colourful music-video street scene, or individual locations can be spread across a shelf with different band members placed around them.
At over 14 cm high, 38 cm wide and 16 cm deep, the completed build has enough width to showcase the different locations and all seven members without becoming overwhelmingly large.
And there is an important story behind the set itself.
LEGO® BTS Dynamite began as a LEGO Ideas fan project created by Josh Bretz and Jacob Twerski, who combined Josh’s building skills with Jacob’s knowledge of BTS to recreate the music video before the project was selected for official production.
The original submission reached the required support through the LEGO Ideas platform, turning a fan-created tribute into an officially licensed LEGO® BTS set.
That fan-designed origin fits this set particularly well.
It was created by people who genuinely wanted the locations, colours and members to feel recognizable to BTS fans, rather than simply using the group as a name on a conventional LEGO® model.
Originally released in 2023, LEGO® BTS Dynamite 21339 is now officially listed by LEGO® as a retired product, meaning its regular production run has ended.
That gives a new sealed example a particularly strong collecting angle.
BTS may continue to inspire merchandise and collaborations, but another future LEGO® release would not automatically recreate this exact combination of all seven members, the “Dynamite” locations and the synchronized dancing stage.
For BTS fans who missed the original release, that makes 21339 much more specific than simply owning another piece of band merchandise.
It captures one particular era, one enormously successful song and one instantly recognizable music video in an official LEGO® Ideas set that is no longer in production.
