LEGO® Zane's Power Up Mech EVO 71761 gives young NINJAGO® fans a compact but action-filled build centred around Zane and his upgradeable ice-blue battle mech.
The adventure starts with Zane’s highly posable mech, featuring movable arms and legs, an opening cockpit and a large spinning star weapon. Place Zane inside and the mech is ready to march straight into battle against the evil Cobra Mechanic.
But this is an EVO set — so the first version of the mech is only the beginning.
Kids can add stronger armour and a new weapon to power up the model, while Zane himself can also be upgraded with additional armour. The simple transformation gives the build a satisfying sense of progression: build it, battle with it and then make it stronger.
The set includes 2 LEGO® NINJAGO® minifigures: Zane and Cobra Mechanic. Zane comes equipped with a sword, while the snake warrior Cobra Mechanic carries a blaster gun, creating an instant hero-versus-villain battle straight from the box.
Complete the mission and Zane earns a collectible Stealth banner, which can be attached to a pole on the upgraded mech as a reward for defeating his enemy.
It is a small detail, but one that made the 2022 EVO wave particularly fun to collect — seven other NINJAGO® sets from the range included their own collectible mission banners, encouraging fans to complete the series.
Despite containing only 95 pieces, the finished mech stands over 12 cm tall, giving it enough size to feel substantial in a child’s hand and enough presence to display alongside larger NINJAGO® builds.
