Travel back to the early days of LEGO® Star Wars™ with Final Duel I 7200, a wonderfully compact vintage set inspired by the climactic events of Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi™.
Released in 2002, the set recreates part of the Emperor’s throne-room confrontation aboard the second Death Star and includes two of the most recognisable villains in cinema history: Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine.
Both minifigures come from the unmistakable early LEGO® Star Wars™ era, before licensed characters switched to realistic skin tones. Palpatine has the classic yellow face and hands, while Darth Vader features the original-style light-grey head beneath his helmet — details that immediately distinguish these figures from their modern counterparts.
The small Death Star build creates a section of the Emperor’s throne-room environment, giving Vader and Palpatine a setting for the final confrontation from Return of the Jedi™.
And there is an especially nice connection for collectors: Final Duel I 7200 was designed to complement Final Duel II 7201. Together, the two little 2002 sets bring the characters from the film’s finale together and form a larger vintage LEGO® Star Wars™ scene.
But more than two decades later, the condition matters just as much as the build itself.
